Local Area Information
We are situated in the South Downs, Hampshire, directly on the Meon Valley Trail. Which is a lovely walk or cycle with a route to Wickham, you can also drive. Wickham is a 17th century market town and known for its annual Horse Fair around May time. Southampton city is 30 minutes away with plenty of shopping opportunities and evening entertainment, Chichester is 40 minutes away or Petersfield just 25 minutes away.
Local Pubs
Perhaps enjoy a 24 minute walk to The Bucks Head in nearby Meonstoke, or a 25 minute walk to the village of Soberton - the White Lion Pub, also doing lovely food. Alternatively a 15 minute walk over a river along to Droxford village where you have 'The Baker's Arms' and 'The White Horse'. Alternatively a 20 minute drive to Southwick Village again with some lovely pubs, in particular, 'The Golden Lion' which houses esteemed brewery for craft beers.
Places to visit
Take a short 10 minute drive to 'Old Winchester Hill' to enjoy stunning views of the South Downs. Or a day out to Winchester city centre full of history, Winchester Cathedral.
Take a 25 minute drive to Portsmouth with the Old Dockyard which has HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and The Mary Rose Exhibitions.
